1 - If you plan on working past age 65, you may be disappointed. 36% of American workers want to work beyond the traditional retirement age, according to an article in USA Today, but half of those folks end up retiring earlier than anticipated -- usually because of forces beyond their control. The article suggests that those hoping to work into their Golden Years (1) have a financial plan, (2) buy disability insurance, and (3) set aside six to nine months of cash -- maybe more.
